Silver x Female Mobian Cat!reader

The year was 3015, the future had turned out exactly how people had predicted it to be back in the past. Flying cars, automatons everywhere, teleporters for normal people, automatic sidewalks, very high tech. Though, what most never predicted for the future was, total and utter devastation. some had said the world would end, but those silly superstitions never came true. Though devastation did come, in an alternate timeline that is.

You are walking back to your home from your friends house, where you had spent the night. You were warned to keep a look out when by yourself on the streets as they were not safe. An old friend of yours told you something bad was going to happen someday soon, but nobody every believed him as he was slightly loopy himself.

Not two blocks from you home, you see a teal light up in the sky. As you near it, an it turns out to be a person, a silvery white hedgehog at that. You had heard that some of the citizen of Möbius now-a-days had special powers, but you had never met any before. The floating boy seemed to be looking for something, so you desired that you would help.

"Hey!" You called. You noticed him flinch before looking  a round, so you called out again, "hey! Down here!"

The boy's sight locks with yours and you could faintly see that his eyes were a bright golden color, way prettier than your boring old (e/c). You waved him down to you. at first, he was confused, and looked around. then looked at you again, pointing to himself. You nodded and he looked shocked. But still,  he floated his way down to you, landing softly in front of you.

"Uh, hi there, I'm Silver," he says.

"It's nice to meet you Silver, my name's _______," you reply.

And that's how it started. Not long after you meet the platinum hedgehog, had you become friends. You'd asked him about his flotation powers and he said they were his psychokinesis powers. It allowed him to move things and or make them float with his mind.

Another thing that Silver told you was that the only reason he was in your little town. he was looking for the "key" to stopping the deviation of Möbius, a second time. In a weird sorta way, Silver was like that on Doctor guy from TV. Doctor Whooves, was it? You don't remember.

~time skip~

You decided that you'd let Silver stay with you and your family, that is, if your guardian would let him.  You let him into your small home through the front door.

"(Guardian's name) I'm home!" You call into the house.

You heard a crash come from the room down the hall. That's Karket's room... What's he up to? You make your way down the hall with Silver in tow. he was to shy and awkward to leave your side in an unknown area.

You get to a large  grey door, with a sign on it that read, "KEEP OUT IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!" Written in all caps. Typical Karket... You knock on the door. There was another crash before loud footsteps trudged up to the door. The door was yanked open to reveal your angry older brother, Karket.

"Hey Karket, why did I hear crashing in here?" You ask, your tail swaying back and forth.

"It's none of you damn business, jackass!" He shouted at you. "And who's this dumb fuck?" He gestured to Silver.

"This is my friend, Silver," you say, "where's (guardian's name)?"

"Don't know, don't care, I hated that old hag anyway!" End of conversation, since after that Karket slammed the door in your face.

What's ironic about your brother is: that grey furred feline's astrological sign is Cancer and he's ALWAYS crabby. So it makes a lot of sense, plus he hardly ever leaves his room. So when your guardian is away, he's not there to play with you like how he did when you two were just kittens.

You roll your eyes and walk to your room, Silver still following you like a lost puppy. You open your door and let him enter, shutting the door behind him.

"I'm sorry about my brother, he can be a real dick sometimes," you apologize.

"It's no problem really, something must have upset him so he wasn't in the best of moods when we showed up," Silver suggested.

"Oh it's not that, he's ALWAYS in a sour mood."

"I see..."

You spent the afternoon hanging out with Silver, getting to know him more, sharing stories, and waiting for your guardian to return. When you heard the back door open, you jumped up and ran to go meet them.

"(Guardian's name) your home!" You yell excitedly. Sure Karket may not like them, but you were cool with them.

"Ah, _____, child, how are you?" They asked setting the groceries on the counter.

"I'm fine, but I was wondering if you'd let one of my friends live with us for now," it was a combination of both a statement and a question.

Your guardians looked down at you. "One of your friends, you say? Who?"

Silver comes up behind you, "hello (sir/ma'am) it nice to meet you, my name is Silver the Hedgehog," he says very politely holding out his hand.

You guardian took his hand and they shook, "the pleasure is mine Silver, I'm (guardian's name). Are you the the 'friend' _____ was speaking of?"

"Uh, yes I believe so, um,"

"Say no more, a polite young man such as yourself is welcome in our home!"

You breathe a sigh of relief, and smile.

"So your fine with Silver staying?" You ask just for reassurance.

"Of course! The more the merrier, right?"

You smile and take Silver's hand and run back upstairs. Right next to the (fave color) door to your room was a white door, the guest room. You open the door and lead Silver inside.

"Alright Silver, this will be your room!" You say excitedly.

"Cool! It was really nice of your guardian to let me stay here with you," Silver smiles.

"Hehe, yeah (he/she)'s pretty chill," you smile, "I'll leave you to get stettled but your welcome to come over to my room so we can hang or something, okay?"

"Yeah, that sounds great! See ya sooner or later."

"I hope it's sooner!"

The both of you laugh an you exit the room leaving Silver to relax and think.

~le big time skip~

Two months. That's how long it's been since Silver moved in with you. You and him were nearly inseparable, always hanging out, going on walks, or running errands or something.

Even though Silver has basically been freeloading at your house,  he kept up his search for this mysterious key. When he would leave to go in a same trip, he always came back. Even though you knew he was coming back, you still miss him a bit. Okay, a bit is an understatement. You're not quite sure, but you think that may have crush on your friend.  

Today just so happened to be one of those days. Silver was off searching and you were stuck at home, just fiddling with the pendent on you necklace. You stop play with your necklace to get a good look at it.

You've had this necklace since you were born. (Guardian) never fully told you why you have it, only that it was given to you the day you were born. As you grew up, you would pretend that it had magical powers to help you in your "quests" you'd play with Karket. You've never taken it off. The (f/c) crystal sparkled in the sunlight. One time you had set it on the flashlight of your phone, and it lit up making it look like you had created a mini universe. Sighing, you stuff the pendent back in your shirt.

You roll off you bed where you had previously been laying and land on the floor. Standing up, you brush off the dust from your pants. You walk over to you door and open it. The first thing to bombard your ears in the sound of profanity and game sounds. Looks like Karket's playing video games again.

You trek downstairs and look around. (Guardian) must be out doing something. God you're bored. No Silver, no (guardian), and there's no way in hell Karket would play with you. You sigh again and walk into the kitchen. You grab a glass and go to the fridge to get a nice cold glass of (fave juice).

You take you class of (juice) with you back to your room. Just as you reached the stairs, there was a rapid knocking at your back door. The knocking was in a familiar pattern. You set you glass down and slowly walk through the kitchen over to the back door.

You peek through the window quickly and open the door. Standing there was your old friend, the crazy one, Charlie.

"Charlie, hi, what's up?" You say.

"I found it! I found it!" He exclaimed.

"Come inside," you hold the door open for him and he shuffles in, twitching.

"I know, I know" he says.

"You know what?" You ask closing the door.

"I found it! I found it!"

"What? What did you find?"

"Key! Key!"

"Key for what?"

"Safety! Salvation!"

"What?"

"Where boy?"

"Silver?"

"Yes! Where?"

"He's out searching for... The... Key! Where is it? Where is the key?"

"Where boy? Boy be here!"

Just as you were about the explain where Silver was again, there was knocking at the door. You run over to the door and opening it.

"Silver! You have impeccable timing!" You say flinging your arms around him in a hug.

"Whoa, what do you mean?" He asks hugging back.

"It's Charlie, he has something to tell you." You pull him inside.

"Can you translate? I still can't fully understand him."

"Yeah sure," you slam the door shut. "Okay Charlie, spill it!"

"Key! Key! Found! Found! I know! I know!" Charlie flings his arms up in the air dropping his cane.

"He means that he found the key," you translate picking up Charlie's cane and handing it back to him.

"By 'key' do you mean the key I've been looking for?!"

"Yes! Yes! Key! Key!" Charlie exclaims snatching up his cane.

"Where is it?!?" Silver asks excitedly.

"Key here! Key here!"

"Where?!?!"

"Here!"

"Where here?!?!"

"There!!" Charlie points a bony finger at you. "Key there!"

Silver looks at you in shock, as you stand there thunderstruck.

"Wh-what?" You ask.

"Here!" Charlie hobbles over to you and grabs your necklace chain pulling it up showing the pendent. "Key."
